Kate & Kacey chosen by Yahoo! Music as THE NEW NOW Subscribe to RSS

Big Machine's Kate & Kacey have been chosen by Yahoo! Music as THE NEW NOW, becoming the first country artists selected in 2009 for the feature. The performance was taped recently in Los Angeles and launches live on Yahoo! today.

"I think it is definitely more nerve-wracking performing in front of a camera," says Kacey, weighing on the camera versus a live concert setting debate.

"When you perform live, if you mess up, you have no choice but to keep on going," adds Kate. "And we've only done a few live things in front of cameras, but we've done enough to know the camera picks up everything! You have to think about your movement and the lights and so much more when the cameras are on you!"

Kate & Kacey are currently performing at the Corona Sun City Tailgate Experience in select markets through September 19th. Kate & Kacey's debut single "Dreaming Love" is currently at Country radio. The rising stars have recently toured with Little Big Town as well as opened for Rodney Adkins.

Country Weekly named Kate & Kacey "Ones to Watch in 2009." They have been featured in People magazine's Country Special as well as on CMT, ESPN, FOX, Inside Music Row, GAC's Headline Country and About.com. Accomplished songwriters, Kate and Kacey penned the song "House With No Doors," which the twins co-wrote with Jamey Johnson, on George Strait's current hit album Troubadour.
